Malfunctioned Boomerang: Coast to Coaster had malfunctioned and was actually stopped with the lead car's nose in the station. Here we see two mechanics on the way to the station to figure out which light bulb burned out and if the park had any on hand or if they would need to order the builb.

As of 2006, this coaster was in dire need of a paint job. As ou can see primer and some rust in this photo, I hope they've repainted it since then.

Here we see Boomerang's double lift/drop system. The ride starts with the train being pulled up the left side backards and dropped through the station. The train runs the course and gets stopped on the right side lift. The chan on the right lift pulls the train up a little higher and releases it. The train will then go through the entire course backwards.

Vekoma Boomerang coasters are notorious for valleying in the middle of the cobra roll. Vekoma installed the cat-walk and spiral staircase to assist with the evacuation of the train if it does valley. In all the visits I made to Six Flags Darien Lake when I was in college, I had never seen this boomerang coaster valley.
